Haven't had the energy to post anything for a while, I've been feeling so ill, still do, rotten, horrible cold, so early on in the Autumn too! Still feeling dreadful...getting soaked everyday this week with all the rain we've had whilst doing the school run hasn't helped.
I really need to get myself organised and decide what my Christmas stock focus will be...but just haven't had the oomph! Hoping that once all the household chores are done tomorrow morning I may have an hour or so before the little man comes home from school (Daddy's turn for the school run tomorrow), to give my this some real thought.
On the plus side my new Helsbellshandmade Crafts business cards and stickers arrived at work today, and they look lovely, so that put a smile on my sore and cold ravaged face.
Attishoooo, cough and sniff, bye for now, off to bed, only wish I had a hot toddy to take with me.

Anniversary Weekend & a bit of papercraft
It was our 10th Wedding Anniversary on Saturday, poor hubby had to work all day, one of the downsides of having your own business, so it was a pretty quite day for me and the little one and a quiet evening with a yummy take away. I made my hubby a little tinfoil rose as a gift 10 years is supposed to be the 'tin' anniversary, we don't really go in for big celebrations for anniversaries, but had a lovely day all the same.
I managed to squeeze in a little papercrafting this weekend, my first crafting love, I made some of the up-cycled vintage tags I so enjoy making, turning regular manilla luggage tags into something lovely. I have also found a small amount of time to pick up my knitting needles. Week of lots of borning work, paperwork, technical and financial stuff to sort out, and housework, better get cracking.

Day 2 ....exciting news!
Day 2....... very excited as I have sold two of my bracelets, ok admittedly to my Auntie in Dorset, but she looked them up in my Folsey shop after seeing them on my Facebook page so the promotion thing has helped.
......and here they are, I need to alter the length slightly as my lovely Auntie Jackie has small wrists, she is going to be doing some free advertising for me every time she wears them she said. So from small acorns hopefully small then bigger oaks trees do grow.

Day 1 ........
Day 1 .... in the the Helsbellshandmade Crafts Blog...... where to start?
Having decided that promotion, promotion, promotion is the key word of the next couple of weeks I now look to blogging, after updating my Folksy shop
http://folksy.com/shops/helsbellshandmadecraftsop and my Misi shop http://www.misi.co.uk/ handmade/ helsbellshandmadecrafts.htm lse and setting up a brand new Facebook page http://www.facebook.com/helsbellshandmade.crafts, here I arrive at blogging.
I have absolutely now idea where to start and although I am quite fond of the sound of my own voice (ashamed to admit that....would have been in the past but now after turning the 40 earlier this year, no, the older we get the more we learn about ourselves and learn to accept the things we cannot change), however, seeing my own ramblings in print, or in this case on the screen is somewhat a daunting prospect!
I also have no idea of how this will develop or if in fact it will develop at all, who knows what I may have unleashed, so dipping a very tentative toe into the water, here's what I would like from this blog and what I hope others will receive from it:
An outlet for all of those creative ideas that spin around in my head, making me dizzy sometimes.
A connection with lots of creative people, I know they are all out there.
To share ideas and ask for help, advice, frustrated shoulder to cry on, and to offer the same back.
Maybe some increased sales :0) .
To connect with people who like me often feel that have too much on their plate and who at times, even with the best will in the world let it all get on top of them, I sure it happens to us all at times.
To have fun and learn, new ideas, and something about myself too.
I think that's probably ambitious enough to be going on with, now just need to pluck up the courage to post it. Here goes nothing!
